Now it’s time to jump into the big, bold work.  Using your health history alongside functional lab testing that shows us specifically what is happening in your body, I design protocols specifically for you. This 6-month program includes monthly sessions with email communication in between, constantly updated action pland, 20% of supplements, and more.

My Approach

I believe that the most important relationship you have is with your body. We have generally been taught that our body is the enemy, and we need to do whatever it takes to tame it. In the process, we end up facing our body’s cries for help: disordered eating, allergies, autoimmune disorders, IBS, hormonal issues. Our minds chime in with mental and emotional disorders. It becomes a vicious cycle of dis-ease.

The amazing thing about our bodies is they want to heal. They want to feel their absolute best. They want you to love them.

When you begin to pay attention to your body, to listen to it, it will let you know what it needs. Sometimes, we are so disconnected from our bodies that it takes some time to figure out what is required.

That’s where I come in: I’m here to help you figure out what your body needs to live its best, most healthy life. Which will give you all kinds of extra time and energy to live your best life.

Who is it For?

Our health doesn’t exist in a vacuum. How happy you feel is just as important as how much you sleep. How much energy you have is just as important as what you eat. That supplement you take impacts your aura, along with your biochemistry. So it’s important to look at all the areas of your life – nutritional, movement, energy, outlook, hormones, just to name a few – in order to figure out what’s working and what isn’t.

Everyone deserves a fully functional and comprehensive approach to their individual health. In our work together, we look at both your symptoms and functional lab testing to guide us in returning your body to homoestatis.

What's the first step in us working together?

Great question! Every client begins with an introductory 30-minute call. During this session, we’ll talk about what is going on with you, along with if and how I can help. I want to know your story, which is a huge part of the healing process. At the end of the conversation, we’ll determine if we’ll move forward in working together.

What is your main area of focus?

I have learned over the years that the health of your gut is of utmost importance to hormonal health, as well as the rest of your body. Your gut health is dependent on the foods you eat, how well you digest your food, if you are currently on or have been on birth control, how many rounds of antibiotics you’ve taken in your life, and a variety of other lifestyle choices. We will look at all of these! I also dive deep into your hormonal health, working with this area alongside gut healing.

Do you subscribe to a particular nutrition philosophy?

I believe that every person’s body needs nutrition that is particular to them. Yes, there is some overlap (i.e. a high-sugar diet is NEVER a good idea), but I work with you to determine what nutritional approach works best for you. Having said that, I rarely recommend “extreme” approaches like veganism, Keto, raw food, or juice cleansing. I have personally done all of these diets, and found they tend to be tougher on the body in the long run rather than supportive of it. In some extreme cases, a “healing” diet is needed for a short amount of time, but never for the long term.

Do you teach about sports nutrition?

Though I certainly can help you determine which foods will support you in your exercise regimen, no, I am not a sports nutritionist. So if you hare doing some heavy-duty training for an Iron Man, I suggest you work with a qualified sports nutritionist.

Do you work with men as well as women?

Yes, I do have the occasional male client. I tend to look more at digestion and nutritional health, and less at hormonal health for men, though, as I am not trained in men’s hormones.

Why do you only offer a six-month program?

I have worked with clients over the years with one-off sessions, and packages of three or four sessions. When it comes to health – particularly with chronic issues – it takes time and commitment to heal from the inside out. The great thing about this is that we’re not just tackling symptoms, because a symptom is just that – one thing that stems from deeper root cause issues. If you don’t determine those issues, then other symptoms will just pop up, and you end up playing whack-a-mole for sometimes years and years and ultimately not getting very far. Tackling root cause issues takes time, and implementing the needed changes needs determination and focus. I have found clients to be MUCH more successful when we have worked together for at least 6 months. And because I want YOU to be successful, I’m offering the chance to be deeply supported through the changes you are about to make to see your health – and life – take off!

Comprehensive Support to Make Big Changes

Where We Begin

  • 30 minute chat to determine if my services will benefit you.
  •  

  • During this call, we’ll go over your most pressing health issues and discuss an initial plan-of-action, including whether functional lab testing will be of use (it usually is).
  •  

  • Commit to working together for six months.
  •  

  • Schedule our first 90 minute intake session where we’ll cover your health history, including physical and emotional symptoms, medication and trauma history, gut and hormone concerns, and more.
  •  

  • This is a chance to tell your WHOLE story, so we can make all of the connections that will help us discover the root cause of your health issues.
  •  

  • If we determine that functional lab testing would point us directly at your root cause issues, you’ll take recommended tests (options include the GI-Map, MRT food sensitivities test, and Dutch hormone test).

The Power Of The Program

  • We’ll set a 60-minute follow-up two-four weeks after the intake session, depending on the timing of lab results.
  •  

  • At this session, we’ll go over your protocol based off your health history and utilizing lab tests. This is a comprehensive protocol with diet, supplementation, movement, lifestyle changes, and supportive therapy recommendations.
  •  

  • You decide where you would like to begin, and the rate at which you want to take on the protocol. Some people like to jump right in and make big changes right away, while others like to take the slower approach. Both are valid – it’s about understanding how you work best.
  •  

  • Two-three weeks after you’ve implemented your protocol, we will meet once again to check-in about how it is going, and make any necessary shifts.
  •  

  • You are welcome to email me in-between sessions to ask questions, and I will return your email with 48 hours.

What Comes Next

  • Monthly sessions enable us to make updates to your protocol. Most protocols last 3-4 months, but each of our bodies are individual, so sometimes it takes longer.
  •  

  • This program includes recipes, handouts, bonus meditation/visualization videos and mp3s and other support materials
  •  

  • Re-testing options are available.
  •  

  • You’ll receive 20% of supplements and have access to practitioner-only brands through your personal dispensary.
  •  

  • You’ll also receive 20% off any of our other products or offerings during your six month program.
  •  

  • After your program is complete, you’ll receive 25% off any further coaching with me. Some clients find that after they’ve done the amazing work of gut healing that there are other things they’d like to tackle, and this gives us the time to do so.

Testing Options

GI-Map

The GI-Map is essentially a road map for your digestive system, from your stomach down to your colon. It tells you:
 

  • Which pathogens you have inside your stomach, small, and large intestine, including opportunistic bacteria, parasites, worms, fungus, and beneficial bacteria
  •  

  • It shows you if you are absorbing your fats (which lets us know how your gallbladder is doing)
  •  

  • It lets you know your pancreatic enzyme output, which are the enzymes that break down protein, fats, and carbs
  •  

  • It contains very important marker to show you if you are removing estrogen properly
  •  

  • Your immune response
  •  

  • Your reaction to gluten
  •  

  • Inflammatory markers

This test is utilized to determine an eradication protocol, as well as support needed for the different areas of your digestive tract.

MRT Food Sensitivities

The MRT shows which foods you have a sensitivity to. This is extremely helpful in knowing which foods to remove for a period of time in order to help seal the gut lining. When you seal the gut lining, you reduce the reaction to these foods, and are usually able to reincorporate them within 3-6 months.

Because food sensitivities can take up to 72 hours to show up, elimination diets can be hard to pinpoint all sensitivities. The MRT cuts to the chase, enabling faster gut healing.

This test includes:

  • Red (highest reactivity – remove these foods for 6 months)
  •  

  • Yellow (moderate reactivity) – remove these foods for 3 months
  •  

  • Green (low reactivity) – high greens are rotated 2-3 times a week, mid-low greens are fine to consume
  •  

There is no need to redo the MRT at the end of your protocol. You will simply challenge each food one-at-a-time in order to see if you no longer have a reaction to it.

Dutch Hormone Test

Viewed as the essential hormone test by functional medicine practitioners, this dried urine test gives an incredible overview of what is happening not only with your sex hormones, but also with your adrenals.

This test is particularly useful for those who face fibroids, ovarian cysts, polyps, uncontrollable PMS, or are in perimenopause.

This test includes:
 

  • Estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, DHEA, and their metabolic pathways
  •  

  • Free cortisol and stored cortisone
  •  

  • Vitamin B6, B12, glutathione, dopamine, norepinephrine/epineprhine markers, and oxidative stress
  •  

  • It is particularly helpful in understanding how your Phase 1 and Phase 2 liver detox are doing, and if your estrogen is metabolizing down the “safer” or more cancerous pathway.

Introductory Call

Welcome! During this 30 min session, we'll cover your main health issues and concerns. What are you facing that you need some real help with? Gut issues, hormones, energy, and skin are often big ones for many women. During this session, we'll talk about what a healthy and fulfilled life looks like to you, action steps to get there, as well as determine if my services are a good fit for your needs. If we decide to work together, the cost for this call will go towards your first month of the program!

Six Month Vital Wellness Program

Healing happens when we are supported over time, figuring out what works and what doesn't. In the first session, which lasts an hour and a half, we will go over your health history, concerns, and goals. Functional lab testing is used to determine root cause issues with gut concerns and hormonal imbalances. We will create an action plan tailored to your specific needs with recommendations for nutrition, movement, hormonal, and lifestyle options. Follow-up sessions are 60 minutes.
