Go After Your Dreams Wholeheartedly – But Let Go of Them Happening (Video)

I know a lot of people with a lot of deep, personal, and collective dreams.

Hopefully most of us continue to dream for the entirety of our lives. You can insert the word “goals” or “manifestations” in for dreams, but at base they remain a desire for something different, better than what you already have or are experiencing.

But it’s not enough to simply dream, or even go after your dreams with all your heart, mind, and soul.

You gotta let go.

This is the crux of why getting what you want can sometimes be so damn hard.

As much as you plan, do, work, move friggin’ mountains, if you hold on too tight, things aren’t going to go the way you want them to (and sometimes, not at all). Manifesting is all about doing the thing, then letting go of the outcome you desire. That energy break is what allows it to happen, to do what it needs to do on its own.

This is one of those lessons that comes around again and again. Whether it’s simply re-focusing your energy on something else (when we do this, it’s often not on purpose), or getting energy work done to you to help you release your grip, letting go is an essential part of the process.

It always frustrated me when I got the advice to “just let go” – that the hardest damn thing to do in the world when you are trying to make something happen. Without tools to actually let go, the idea of it does nothing.

Over time and LOTS of practice, I’ve found EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) to be one of those super simple tools that you can use easily on your own to be the one of the BEST ways to quickly let go (and do it over again if I realize I haven’t let go).

Here’s a video to help you along with the juxtaposition of going after what you want, and letting go of it happening. The first part explains the concept more in-depth, and what EFT is all about; if you want to skip straight to the actual practice, jump to 5:05.

Rinse and repeat OFTEN.
