Looking For A Fresh Start (aka Happy Holidays)
It’s hard for many of us to look at the holidays as anything other than a crazy busy time.
We may jump into seeing some holiday theater, or music, or venture out to see the lights and the Christmas markets, but we’re mostly running around trying to take care of everyone and everything.
(Except for ourselves. Usually not keeping up from a health or stress perspective.)
Yet for a select few, this time of year is actually the ending of one year and the beginning of another. There are groups of people who view the Solstice as not only the end of darkness and return to the light, but also as a new beginning.
Within the hustle and bustle, I like to view this part of the year as the perfect magical time to take a few minutes and dream about the future. Here are a few things to ponder:
– What do you want for yourself in the coming year? (Think BIG)
– What do you wish for your loved ones? (Think from THEIR point-of-view)
– How do you want to go about making the world a better place, even when it may seem in shambles? (Think GREATER GOOD)
Don’t worry about getting all the answers right now; you don’t even have to write them down. I just want you to contemplate them during some of the moments in-between.
Next week, we’ll get more into the nitty gritty of how to deepen your dreams for the new year and create the space to make them happen.
In the meantime, I wish for all of you to feel connection, enjoyment, and love during this season as our world continues to turn, no matter what happens.
