The ADHD & Hormone Connection (Especially In Perimenopause) with Adele Wimsett

Sleep, oh how we want it, but sometimes we don’t know how to get it!

Particularly as we step into perimenopause, sleep becomes a tougher thing for many of us. Cortisol spikes, hormonal shifts, stress triggers and more can make for fitful nights and exhausted days.

Luckily, you’re about to learn how to get better sleep, ASAP.

Today I’m talking with Dr. Leigha Saunders, and we cover the myriad of ways to get to the root cause of why it’s so hard for you to find good sleep.

Turning her post-partum sleep deprivation into an opportunity to serve the millions of women who suffer in sleeplessness, Dr. Leigha Saunders is a naturopathic doctor and mom of two who deeply understands the struggle of insomnia.

We talk about:

✨The importance of cortisol and insulin when it comes to working with ADHD

✨Hormonal fluctuations and how they exacerbate ADHD symptoms

✨How ADHD can show up for different women, and how to figure out best practices for yourself

✨The role that BHRT may play in leveling out ADHD sypmtoms in perimenopause

✨And so much more!

Considering that we are under so much stress and juggling multiple things everyday, it’s no wonder so many women are finding out they have ADHD. This episode helps to guide you in the process of how to make it your superpower, instead of a constant struggle.
